Alton FC have announced the appointment of Tommy Taylor and Andy Sharratt as their new joint first-team managers.
The pair will take charge of the Combined Counties League Premier Division South side, with the club confirming the appointments through its official social media channels.
The announcement has prompted questions among supporters, with one fan pointing out that Taylor and Sharratt had reportedly been brought into the club as assistants under the previous manager.
Supporter David H questioned the circumstances surrounding the changes, writing: "So the club sacked the manager (rightly or wrongly) but not the assistants, the assistants didn’t walk with the manager and are now the managers."
Alton have not provided further details about the circumstances surrounding the appointments.
