Cornard United first-team manager Cameron Scorer has issued a message to supporters following a difficult start to the season, acknowledging the club's disappointing results while thanking fans for their continued backing.

Scorer admitted that performances and results have not met expectations but insisted there have been encouraging signs, particularly in recent matches, as the club continues its rebuilding process.

The manager highlighted the challenges facing the club, explaining that Cornard began the season with no money in the bank, debts to address and a negative perception surrounding the club.

However, he stressed that significant progress is being made behind the scenes, with discussions taking place over infrastructure improvements, the potential introduction of Under-18 and Under-23 teams next season, and further development of the club's operations.

Scorer also expressed his confidence in the young squad and coaching staff, insisting that results will improve as the team continues to develop.

He praised the players' commitment and the supporters' loyalty, describing the rebuilding process as a long-term project rather than a quick fix.

Despite the setbacks, Scorer reiterated his determination to build a competitive, sustainable football club that the local community can be proud of.
